Our region needs and uses soccer to reach children at the crucial ages-pre and early teens-when they particularly need recreation offering positive life experiences as well as having positive adult role models interacting with them. In 2004 we registered 600 players, ages 4 to 19. The mission of South LA AYSO Region 1031 is to bring the joys of soccer to the children of an economically challenged and racially diverse area of the city, South Los Angeles.
We play our games at KENNETH HAHN STATE PARK SOCCER FIELDS: 5401 S. Fairfax Ave – 673-B5
Directions: Surface streets from the Westside:
Take La Cienega Blvd South to Slauson Ave.
Proceed East on Slauson to Fairfax Ave.
Turn North (left) on Fairfax and travel one (1) block (North of baseball fields) to soccer fields.
Our Region was started as a partnership with the Los Angeles Police Department, 77th Area. More than anything else, our region needs and uses soccer to reach children at the crucial ages - pre- and early teens - when they acutely need recreation offering positive life experience and positive adult role models.
